Meet The Team
Matt Boone is a graduate and former baseball player at Herkimer County Community College. Matt pitched in the Region 3 NJCAA championship game and made an appearance in the 2018 NJCAA World Series. Matt has been coaching baseball since 2016, working as an assistant coach for the Avon Junior and Senior Legion teams. In 2018, Matt was able to train at Driveline Baseball where he was able to learn from some of the best instructors in the player development industry. Matt works as a pitching instructor for B Sports Performance while pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Bentley University.
Brian is one of the co-founders and owners of B Sports. He has been a professional coach since 2013, working with countless numbers of athletes of all sports and skill levels. Brian is also the current pitching coach at Farmington High School and does consulting work for organizations including Loomis Chaffee and the Connecticut Blue Jays. As a former graduate of Fordham University and Division I All-American athlete, Brian specializes in developing athletes both physically and mentally in order to optimize their individual athletic performance and growth.
Liz is a co-founder and owner of B Sports. She has been studying and coaching neuromuscular training since 2015 and is an ACSM certified trainer. A graduate from Penn State University with her bachelors in elementary education and masters in reading, Liz specializes in the development of young athletes by using her teaching background to provide efficient and effective coaching.
Courtney played soccer at TCU and UConn, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She went on to play professionally in Italy while pursuing a Masters Degree in Coaching Education. Courtney has previously coached at East Carolina University as their volunteer assistant and at Princeton University as an assistant coach.
A New England-class hurdler and soccer co-captain at the Coast Guard Academy, John mentored hundreds of student-athletes and military members during his ensuing career. He coached 6 UConn sprint/hurdle school record holders, served as counselor to 14 UConn teams, and enhanced the speed/fitness of numerous elite UConn women's soccer players, including the fastest player at the first professional women's soccer combine. A licensed professional counselor, he holds a Master's in counseling and 6th Yr Diploma in Sport Psychology. Most recently, John has helped many area baseball players achieve the highly sought sub 7 second 60 yd showcase metric.
